The decor was on point! Very dark and trendy. Hubby referred to it as the 'bat cave'. Check-in was a little busy but the manager(?) was very attentive and brought in reinforcements to speed up the process. The room has a homey vibe. Felt like a loft apartment (with no kitchen of course). The room was very clean and although hubby thought the bed was a little soft, I was able to fall asleep right away which is rare for me at hotels. There is quite a bit of construction happening at the moment and I thought it was a nice touch that the hotel provided ear plugs for guests. I will admit the area is a little sketchy at night with some unhoused people roaming the streets. However, growing up in the GTA, I did not feel threatened by their presence. Also, having the valet staff at the front door and having to tap into the hotel with your room key after 10pm adds an extra layer of protection. Finally, hubby absolutely LOVED the complimentary flavoured water and hopes the hotel continues to offer that little luxury.

Brunch was exceptional. The service from all the staff was totally on point. The location is ideal as it's next to Bloor St and right next to the tube station. It's a long walk down Yonge or Bay St to downtown, but on a nice day, totally doable. I would totally recommend this hotel. The only 'slight' problem (totally out of the control of the hotel) was there was lots of construction going on around the hotel. This obviously won't be going on forever, but it was quiet loud in the early mornings, but only mid week. This however did not affect our wonderful stay. Thank you once again to all at The Anndore House, especially Emma... who makes an incredible Old Fashioned!

Very stylish room (+1 for the designer) with plenty of space and a small living area. So many USB outlets, a traveler's dream, we were able to charge everything overnight. All light switches were labeled what they are switching on/off - GENIUS! This should be an international law, we always spend time until we figure out where to turn on/off specific lights. Special Spotify playlist for the showers accesible by QR code on the bathroom mirror - such a cute idea. Plenty of drawers to store and organize clothes for a family of 4. The brunch in the restaurant was yummy, the dinner was good as well.

I personally loved the aesthetics of the hotel - it was one of the most unique looking ones I have ever stayed at! I love the vibes, the decor, the feel - all made me feel like I'm staying at an artsy homestay instead of one of the generic hotels that look like a concrete from the outside and a hospital bedroom on the inside. We had a noise coming from our room when we first checked in -- it sounded like a high-pitched water steam that was going off every few minutes. We notified the front desk and they gave us a new room right away. We appreciated the accommodations!

Parking was conveniently located across from the hotel. The lobby area was beautifully designed and there were lots of convenient services (cafe, barbershop, restaurant). The rooms were gorgeous, with shutters on the windows that let in a lot of light but still maintain privacy. There were light switched on either side of the bed that controlled all the lights in the room. The washrooms were large, clean, and bright.
